Day 1

Faenza and Brisighella

Faenza and Brisighella

The city of Faenza is world-famous for its ceramics: a very ancient, traditional art that is shown in the Museo Internazionale delle Ceramiche. Here you will travel between the Far East, South America and 19th century Italy, sensing the quality of shapes and colors. Little far, the village of Brisighella keeps the food and wine traditions of the hills. You can taste the wines and olive oil of local farms or learn to prepare delicious homemade pasta… of course after tasting it in the village restaurants!

Day 2

Santarcangelo and Verucchio

Santarcangelo and Vilaverucchio

A medieval castle, small museums and artisanal shops: Santarcangelo has thousands surprises in store for those who walk through its streets. If you love traditions, stop at Stamperia De Marchi: the typical dishrags and pinafores are still printed at hand, with ancient machines.you can stop for lunch in a restaurant of the village, to then head for Verucchio. On top of a rocky spur, the medieval fortress awaits you with the origins of the Malatesta house, thar ruled over

Day 3

Grottoes of Onferno and Montecolombo

Grottoes of onferno and Montecolombo

For a day between woods and paths, you can reach the Onferno nature Reserve. Its paths will take you to the complex of natural caves, dug by the water’s patient work. You can go underground to visit halls and corridors and closely watch the 6,000 bats that inhabit a charming world. After the excursion you can stop in the small village of Montecolombo, plunged in the hills: give yourself a dinner based on fresh homemade pasta, meat specialties and typical sweets.

Day 4

Ravenna

Ravenna

Ravenna keeps a treasure of ancient art, made of thousands colorful tiles. The early-Christian monuments of the city have been declared part of the World Heritage UNESCO list; their outer appearance is simple and elegant, while the interiors are enriched with world-famous golden mosaics. You should not miss the Basilica of San Vitale and the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, but the town also hosts the grave of poet Dante Alighieri. After your visit you can relax in the pinewood, or on the quiet beach of Lido di Dante.
